Ron Burns to Present at 3D TLC Engage! Expo
Tue Sep 8, 2009 01:26 pm EDT

LANSDALE, Pa.—September 8, 2009—ProtonMedia, the developer of the ProtoSphere virtual teaming and collaboration platform, announced today that CEO Ron Burns will present at the annual 3D TLC @ Engage! Expo on Wednesday, Sept. 23. His address will begin at 10:30 a.m., immediately following the expo keynote by Erica and Sam Driver, Principals of ThinkBalm.

Burns will discuss the next level of functionality that virtual worlds must achieve to move the industry beyond early adopters and innovators to mainstream acceptance. After his address, attendees can find Burns at booth #36, where he’ll be joined by the ProtonMedia team. Demos of the latest version of ProtoSphere will be on display, and attendees can experience first-hand some exciting new functionality that will be unveiled at the 3D TLC @ Engage! Expo. ProtonMedia is a Gold Sponsor of the event.

“Today more than ever, businesses want to maximize the productivity of geographically dispersed teams,” Burns says. “Case studies provide the metrics that prove virtual environments increase operational effectiveness by reducing travel costs, improving collaboration, boosting meeting attendance and engagement, and speeding knowledge transfer. But challenges to mainstream adoption remain. I’ll discuss those challenges and what can be done to overcome them in my address.”

The 2009 Engage! Expo will provide insight into the best practices, current trends, and effective strategies of social media and user engagement. Companies learn how to combine their existing online efforts with new engagement opportunities and revenue streams of attention-based media. The expo runs concurrently with the 3D TLC (3D Training, Learning and Collaboration) conference, the leading event for businesses seeking to understand and maximize business strategies using virtual worlds. The events run Sept. 23-24 at the San Jose Convention Center.
