Job Title: ProtonMedia® Software Engineer with Game Engine Focus

Reporting to: Director, R&D

Main purpose of job: Responsible for the software research & development of innovative 3D business applications, including 3D C++ programming, the research and selection of a competitive game engine, and maintaining our technical competitiveness.

1. Key Accountabilities

  • Lead the research and selection of a competitive game engine
  • Integration of the game engine with ProtoSphere
  • Having a creative and innovative approach to the design and development
  • Ability to collaborate as a member of a team and work toward team goals.
  • Self motivated with demonstrated ability to work efficiently and independently.

2. Knowledge & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline
  • 2+ years game industry or related programming experience.
  • Experience with a game engine or some form of 3D software
  • Strong linear algebra/3D math skills
  • Strong understanding of graphics pipeline/rendering concepts
  • Ability to architect, program and optimize C++ in existing or new systems (C# experience a plus)
  • Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio
  • Must be able to work closely with designers, artists, and programmers to develop compelling technology
  • Ability to write clear, maintainable, portable code.
  • Strong time management skills with a proven ability to accurately assess time requirements and complexity of assigned systems.
  • Must be able to design systems thoroughly and break into manageable tasks.
